*DUE TO CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY THE IMAGE OF IBC INSTALLATION HAS BEEN LOWERED IN RESOLUTION*

The Client

This client manufacturers high-quality fire retardant and high-temperature cables. They needed to feed Magnesium Oxide into a sifter at a controlled rate in order to ensure quality and prevent excess material carried through as oversize.

The Objective

ISL proved to be the lowest cost provider by eliminating the need for complex equipment such as gravimetric feeders and it was achieved without weight control.

The Solutions

ISL recommended the automatic discharge station with piston-controlled flow control. Using the amp reading from the sieve to regulate feed ISL ensures even, controlled discharge. The client investigated several means to achieve his objective, he considered rotary valves, gravimetric feeders, controlled weighing from a bag discharger, and older cone valve technologies. ISL was the most economical solution demonstrating consistent feeds of 100g, 5 kg, batches accurate to +/1 40g.

Summary

The benefits of the big-bag system he considered are:

- Completely sealed, contamination and spillage free.

- Ability to part discharge IBC

- Guaranteed flow using patented Cone Valve Technology.
